Environmental studies is a broad field that studies human interaction with the environment. It explores the ways in which the human species influences, and is influenced by the environment. As people across the globe wake up to the reality of how fragile the earth is, environmental studies have gained increasing importance in the 21st century.

CE at UP offers courses in wetland rehabilitation, environmental enforcement, environmental impacts assessment and more. Highly specialised training is offered that will not easily be found elsewhere in the country. Such niche courses are presented in the natural sciences category of training offerings.
