CE at UP offers courses in broad-based community development and human intervention to equip people to better organise the world in which they live. From computer literacy to municipal planning, to counselling and spirituality, these courses are designed to provide people with skills and improve their qualifications.

Computer courses cover the basics and progresses to advanced skills transfer. Gender studies are also on the agenda, with courses offered on a co-operative learning model. Short courses in theology include church organisation and stewardship and also focus on specific skills in counselling and spiritual leadership.

Building capacity on local government level receives attention with a skills programme that culminates in attendees receiving a national certificate.
